Limited Warranty – Movably Pro Smart Chair
Effective Date: January 15, 2025
1. Who Is Covered and Scope of Warranty
This Limited Warranty (“Warranty”) is extended by Movably Inc. (“Movably”) exclusively to the original purchaser (“Purchaser”) of the Movably Pro Smart Chair (the “Product”).
This Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to Products purchased directly from Movably or from an authorized Movably distributor. Products purchased from unauthorized third-party sellers, second-hand markets, or resellers are not covered by this Warranty.
This Warranty is valid only for Products used within the United States for standard residential or commercial office use.
2. Warranty Periods and Coverage
Movably warrants that the Product will be free from material defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service for the periods specified below, beginning on the date of original delivery to the Purchaser:
a. Frame and Structural Support — Five (5) Years
Movably warrants the main metal frame, structural welds, and mechanical support structures against structural failure or breakage for a period of five (5) years.
b. Electronics, Motors, and Moving Components — One (1) Year
Movably warrants all electronic components, including but not limited to motors, linear actuators, sensors, printed circuit boards (PCBs), power supplies, and wiring harnesses, as well as moving mechanical parts not integral to the welded frame, for a period of one (1) year.
c. Labor — One (1) Year
For a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery, Movably will cover the cost of labor for repairs deemed necessary by Movably Technical Support.
All labor must be performed by a Movably-authorized technician or service provider. Labor costs incurred by unauthorized third parties will not be reimbursed.
3. Remedy
If a defect arises within the applicable Warranty period and a valid claim is received, Movably will, at its sole option and to the extent permitted by law:

Repair the Product at no charge using new or refurbished replacement parts; or
-
Replace the Product with a new or refurbished product.
To the extent permitted by law, these remedies are your sole and exclusive remedies. Replacement parts or Products assume the remaining Warranty period of the original Product or ninety (90) days from the date of repair or replacement, whichever is longer.
4. Scope of Warranty & Exclusions
This Warranty covers components that fail due to defects in materials or workmanship when the Product is used as intended.
The Warranty does not cover damage or issues resulting from the following situations:

Normal wear and tear, including cosmetic changes that do not affect how the chair functions.

Use above the maximum recommended weight capacity of 275 pounds (125 kg).

Use outside normal deskwork activities, or use that places unusual stress on the chair beyond its intended purpose.

Improper assembly or setup, including not following the instructions provided in the Movably User Manual.

Modifications or additions that have not been approved by Movably, including third-party accessories or replacement parts.

Electrical issues, including damage caused by power surges, improper grounding, or use of a power adapter other than the one supplied or approved by Movably.
-
Exposure to unsuitable environments, such as excessive moisture, liquid spills, high humidity, extreme temperatures, dust, or outdoor conditions.

Improper storage, handling, or transport that results in damage to the Product.
-
Lack of basic care or maintenance, such as failure to clean or maintain the chair as outlined in the User Manual.
-
Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, secondhand marketplaces, liquidation sales, or sold “as-is.”
-
Natural aging or variation of materials, including fabric, upholstery, finishes, coatings, or plastics that does not affect performance.
-
Gradual compression or softening of foam or padding that occurs with regular use over time.
-
Damage to seating or surfaces caused by sharp objects, tools, fasteners, pets, or marking instruments.
-
Stains or discoloration, including dye transfer (“crocking” or “reverse crocking”) from clothing such as denim.
-
Accidental damage, including impacts, tipping, drops, or collisions.
-
Damage caused by liquids or cleaning products, including use of harsh chemicals or improper cleaning methods.
-
Use in shared, high-traffic, or public environments (such as gyms, classrooms, or open coworking spaces) unless specifically approved by Movably.
-
Service or repairs performed by non-authorized technicians, or attempts to repair the Product without Movably approval.
-
Products with missing, altered, or damaged serial numbers or identification labels.
-
Continued use after a problem is noticed, if that continued use contributes to additional damage.
This Warranty is void if the Product is used in a multi-user facility (such as a gym or high-traffic public space) unless expressly authorized in writing by Movably.
5. Mandatory Power Supply Requirements
To ensure safe operation and product longevity, only the original power adapter provided with the Product may be used.

Output Specification: 24.0V DC / 4.0A
Use of any third-party, generic, or incompatible power adapter is strictly prohibited. Any damage to motors, control boards, or electronic components resulting from the use of a non-authorized power adapter will immediately void this Warranty.
Movably assumes no liability for personal injury or property damage caused by the use of power adapters that do not meet these specifications.
6. Obtaining Warranty Service
To obtain Warranty service, the Purchaser must first contact Movably Customer Support at support@movably.com.
You may be required to:

Provide proof of purchase;
-
Answer diagnostic questions;
-
Provide photographs or video documenting the issue.
If service is required, Movably may:
-
Provide user-replaceable parts with instructions; or
-
Arrange service with a Movably-authorized technician.
All claims must be submitted within the applicable Warranty period.
7. Shipping Costs for Warranty Service
If your Product requires warranty service, Movably will work with you to determine the most efficient and practical solution.

Movably will cover the cost of replacement parts for covered warranty repairs.

Movably will cover outbound shipping of replacement parts or replacement Products for approved warranty claims.

Customers are generally responsible for inbound shipping costs, including returning parts or Products to Movably or an authorized service provider, unless otherwise required by law or agreed to by Movably in writing.
In some cases, Movably may, at its discretion, provide prepaid shipping labels or waive shipping costs as a courtesy.
We’ll always let you know about any potential shipping costs in advance—no surprises.
8. Disclaimer of Implied Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, this Warranty and the remedies set forth herein are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, remedies, and conditions, whether oral, written, statutory, express, or implied.
Movably specifically disclaims all implied and statutory warranties, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and warranties against hidden or latent defects.
If implied or statutory warranties cannot be lawfully disclaimed, then to the extent permitted by law, such warranties are limited in duration to the duration of this express Warranty and limited to repair or replacement at Movably’s sole discretion.
9. Limitation of Damages
Except as expressly provided in this Warranty and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Movably shall not be liable for any direct, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from any breach of warranty or condition, including but not limited to:

Loss of use;

Loss of revenue or profits (actual or anticipated);

Loss of business or business opportunity;
-
Loss of savings.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.
10. Governing Law
This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary by state, country, or province.
This Warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
